This is the result of a modified radical mastectomy. The left breast was removed and a new one molded out of extra fat and muscle from the stomach. Since fat contains no blood supply, the muscle is necessary.
In this case the operation had to be redone when the transplant 'died' so it meant more scaring than normal. The initial attempt was removed and replaced with an inflatible device to stretch the skin enough to hold a silicone implant. After more healing, the inflatible was removed and a permanent one inserted.
The right breast was then modified to match the new one!!
So, it left scars that the tattoos were able to cover. The lower tatts are obviously covering the scar made at the donor site. I was immediately well. I wasn't sick any more - only colorful.
